FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of many naturally occuring chemical compounds found within the cannabis plant and is not intoxicating. Dry Creek Hemp CBD oil is extracted from our Alabama grown hemp flower at state of the art extraction facilities to ensure consistent pharmaceutical grade products.
"Full spectrum" oil contains high amounts of CBD but also includes lower amounts of other cannabinoids and terpenes produced by the hemp plant. "Full spectrum" oil should be a transparent amber or gold color. This type of oil can contain up to .3% THC which can in fact cause you to fail a drug test. However most people will agree that "full spectrum" is the most effective option on the market.
"Broad spectrum" is very similar to "full spectrum" however it contains a significantly lower amount THC. During the process of extraction the oil from the hemp is further processed to remove most of the THC. Although your chances of failing a drug test are much lower when using "broad spectrum" oil, you could still fail due to the small amounts of THC present. If you are drug tested but not very often "broad spectrum" might be a good choice for you.
"Isolate" is the end of the road as far as processing goes. After extraction the hemp oil can be further broken down and purified into CBD "isolate". This means all the other cannabinoids and terpenes have been removed. THC is nearly 0% making it un detectable in your body and considered "THC FREE". If you get drug tested often we reccomend using an "isolate" product.
Cannabinoids are organic chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant and are originally in the form of cannabinoid acids. After these compounds are decarboxylated they become a non acid cannabinoid. Some of these include: cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabigerivarin(CBGV), tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), cannabidivarin (CBDV) and cannabichromevarin (CBCV).
Terpenes are organic compounds produced by many plants and some insects that often cause a strong odor. Cannabis plants can produce a wide range of terpenes that come together to create a uniqe smell or taste. Terpenes can smell "fruity","skunky","earthy" "minty" "piney" and are believed to make CBD and other cannabinoids more effective.
The Endogenous Cannabinoid System is the physiological system within humans and animals that maintains and regulates overall health. Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found throughout the body including the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands and immune cells. The endocannabinoid system works differently in different parts of our bodies in order to acheive homeostasis. Cannabinoid rich plants such as hemp can help us maintain these internal states of balance.
Delta-8 THC is one of the many cannabinoids produced within the cannabis plant. Delta-8 THC is found only in small quanities naturally making exctraction expensive and complicated which is why this particular cannabinoid is converted from hemp derived CBD during processing. The rearrangment of the CBD molecule into a Delta-8 THC molecule is the quickest and most efficient way to obtain this cannabinoid allowing those in need to access it nation wide. Delta-8 THC is an intoxicating compound very similar to Delta-9 THC but much less potent.
